Moving on...

Ok I got a request to make a blog post, although I have next to nothing to report!

I currently have a full time job atm which is taking up most of my time as it can be up to six days a week. However, this job is not what i want to do as a career choice, even if I do like the people. So needless to say, I'm still looking for my dream job which is so hard to get into, I've kinda given up.

On another, more random note, I turn 20 in exactly five months today, which is so scary. It's kind of dawned on me that I need to more out and start my own life now, if only I had the money/a boyfriend who managed his money better, this would be a lot easier!

I also started a new channel for the first time since my 'Itunesbabe' channel came into creation. But, it's got nothing what so ever to do with editing! It's a beauty channel, which is the most random channel I could have made. But this is actually quite a hobby of mine, in fact, I originally made my 'Itunesbabe' channel so that I could watch these sort of videos, it wasn't until months later that I actually started editing!

This channel has been my main focus whilst I have no vidding inspiration. 2011 has been a terrible vidding year for me, I've only posted about three full length videos which is a joke!

However, I'm determined to post at least two more videos before the year ends, then I'll try and post a video at least once every three weeks next year. I feel that because my editing has advanced a lot since I began, (or I like to think it has), I've been spending a lot more time on my videos, even if I'm not editing as much. I mean, my latest doctor/Anna one took over three months! I've never spent that long on a video before, so of course it's my favourite!

End of an era

Well it's been a while, once again.

But I felt like I had to post today, given that tomorrow is my last day of college. The reason that I feel I need to post, is because this blog really started when I started my course a little under two years ago and I just remember posting nearly every day really excited about my progress and the course.

I can't believe that it's my last day tomorrow, it's one of those things were it seems like the end will never come. I can't wait to leave and move on with my live, but at the same time, I'm scared of leaving and I'll miss it a lot.

Either way, I wanted to sort of make a 'goodbye' post as I move on to the next stage of my career (hopefully)!

Well I definitely seem to be keeping up with the posting everyday thing, (having said that I'm probably not going to post in a while now lol)!

I have still yet to render my college video and am on my fourth or so attempt to get it completed with rendering from the time I get back to college to when I go to sleep. But so far I have had to cancel it every time because it is never done in time. However, if it doesn't render I will do it tomorrow as I'm not at college (for reasons I'm not going to mention today due to possibly 'jinxing' the upcoming event).

Yer, I really wanna write what tomorrow is, because for me it's a big deal but I dare not out of caution, this is probably saying to much now anyway...

*Fingers crossed for a good outcome tomorrow. - Although the chances of this are unlikely.

Well I dare now give anymore away so that's it for today's post.

Well I'm back at college today and it was kinda nice to be back to escape the issues at home and what not. It was great to see almost everyone again, but there are some people who I can't stand at college (much like everyone, there's always one), but on the whole it was a good day.

Being back made me realise how much I love the course and how I do REALLY want a job in the industry, but that's just not happening thanks to the stupid recession and lack of jobs.

I didn't get my film done in time, it took to long to render so I had to cancel it, so I'm rendering it now to then burn to a DVD. But the same issue is occurring now so I may have to render it over the weekend or leave my computer running whilst at college or whatever. Either way I still don't like the end result but at least I can now have a bit more time to edit it if it all fails.

Not much else to report, but on another completely random note;

I've been wanting to start a 'beauty' channel for years now, but I don't have to courage to show myself on camera and upload, plus if someone from college sees my channel I'm screwed. Anyway the alternative to this would be to start a blog, which I am really considering, I mean I have a passion and a decent quality camera so why not? I would have to separate both blogs though to different accounts, this one being an editing blog which edits secondhand clips may not be the best idea to link with thanks to people like WMG ruining every one's work.

What? Two posts in two days, this is a new high for me!

Well yesterday I was reading through some of my first posts (total cringe at how 'young' I sounded in some of them), which where from when I first started college and was posting every day. I guess it made me want to start posting more, even though I don't have much to post. But it's easy enough to write some crap down and call it a post, I mean so far I've managed to write a paragraph of nothing in about 30 seconds so that's something.

Well I'm back at college tomorrow, so I'm excited to see everyone, but being the idiot I am, have yet to edit a video that is due in tomorrow, and it's so dull. (I think I mentioned this last post). Still, I WILL get it done if it kills me, even if it is worse than the shit I used to make on WMM. (No offence to anyone who uses it, but I'm talking about my editing 'back in the day.')

Sooooo......

Expect more blog posts, I'll try to post daily. (Here's to the next post being in six months time)!

Happy New Year!
Kinda late like the 'Happy New Year' text I received from college two days ago...)

Well I definitely haven't been posting a lot, but it's been less than a month, which for me is pretty good!

I'm back to college on Tuesday and I have a music video due in that I NEED to finish. However, after several days of editing I'm still no further than a minute in, give or take a bit. Plus I hate it, and the quality of most of the clips are terrible and can't be used. That's what happens when you transfer from Macs to PCs, because there was no way I was using a Mac to edit on again, I had no desire to punish myself like that.)

Of course my boyfriend being the great support that he is just laughed at me.

Another irritating thing is that no matter how many jobs I have applied to, none of them seem will to take anyone on, so a few days ago I had to make the heart breaking choice to no longer pursue editing as a career choice. I am gutted and have yet to tell my parents, friends, or college tutors (except for the select few). But just finding a 'regular' job is hard enough and I am panicking every day and night about being unemployed in a few months when I leave college and have been having several sleepless nights over it, which then puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day, so the past few weeks have been spent in a very depressed state of mind.

All in all 2011 has not got of to a good start, (although the new years party was brilliant and it's easy to forget problems with friends and alcohol), and I was really holding out for a good year after the messes in 2010. Here's praying for a turn around and no more ranting blog posts, if you made it this far into the post I admire you.

Wow I haven't posted on here since May - MAY seriously!

Well not much has changed except that I'm now in my second year of college (and the first term is nearly finished already! We have next week and then that's it!) I can't believe I'm in my second year already, I'm gonna be so sad when it's over. Plus it's soooo scary because I'm now trying to apply for a job as I don't want to go to uni (Long story short - I don't want to spend another three or so more years in education, I wanna start earning!).

We had a snow week two weeks ago which was a mixed bag.

I've redesigned my blog with the new template feature, I really like it but some of the links are hard to read because of the colouring they were placed over, oh well!

Er..... I still haven't got my licence due to my test being cancelled TWICE due to the snow and another time just because, and of course I now have to wait another two months to take me test......

I really can't think what else to write, maybe I'll post again soon, but of course that will be rare! :0

Ok - I keep saying I'll post more but that doesn't seem to be happening. I need to have a quest or something that makes me kinda need to post everyday.

Anyway since my post ages ago, I have now started driving lessons (and I started a while back - I have my 11th lesson tomorrow). Let's just say and I defiantly not a good driver, I just suck, I can't get the bite, I can't work the gear stick and I can't even tell which side of the road is mine lol. Yer that sounds stupid but it's sooo hard. Plus I feel sooooo guilty because my driving instructor now thinks that I hate driving and more importantly hate her, and I really don't i love driving I'm just really struggling. But on the bright side, a girl at college is taking her test soon and she said she was were I am when she was driving and that by her 15th or so lesson it all clicked, so I can only hope it does especially as lessons are not cheap and I wanna drive, because national express is not my friend and waiting for the train every morning is not fun. Even though by the time I get my licence I may have finished college, plus it may be cheaper to get the train anyway. But I had to get the train four times in one day on Wednesday because I had to go to college, get the train back home during my two hour lunch to get my mum's birthday present (on her actually birthday as well - because I didn't have time to get it during the holidays as I live nowhere near the shopping part of my town, I live in the middle of nowhere where it's an hours walk to the shops and another hours walk back, hence why I want my licence), so yer got the train home because the present she wanted could only be found in this little shop at home, plus she had her heart set on it. Then I had to get the train back to college and get the train home again, it's only a seven minute train journey but still annoying waiting around, thank god I had my pass or it would have cost me loads. I also didn't end up leaving college till 5 o'clock because I had this fake interview thing.

Anyway I've been editing a bit more trying out some new effects etc, I upgraded to Vegas pro 8 (may have posted that before), so I now have the masking tool, HD rendering, unlimited layers and lots of other good stuff. Finally finished of my group film at college, and I quite like the end result, especially as it was made in iMovie which is just terrible bad, it's even worse than WMM which is saying something, and Macs are my enemy because they are as different from a windows as technically possible (maybe for legal reasons or something, but I HAVE to like them if I get into the industry), maybe when I can finally use final cut next year I'll like them a bit more, but around ten hours of editing screaming at a computer is not fun. Been waiting all year to use that program, so going to be watching some tutorials and getting out some books on the program before college starts again next September. I can't believe I've nearly finished my first year already! But I can't wait to narrow down my work and try to focus on film and hopefully drop the media areas I'm not really that interested in like Magazine and Radio, (don't get me wrong I love both but only to listen to and read, not to make myself).

Well that seems like everything, I'll TRY to post something tomorrow, but that seems unlikely!

Doctor/Hermione - Stolen

My newest vid. I actually quite like this one! :)

Ok I can't believe how LONG it's been since my last post, so long in fact that I kept putting of posting as I have to much to write about, so in true laziness here is a short summary: (Short lol).

- I got a job at a sushi bar and all the staff are AMAZING and always good for a laugh - But the management are defiantly not, and I still haven't been paid yet despite doing nearly six weeks work - so I should be getting paid on the 10th around £165 which for me is a LOT!
- I turned 18 and went to the pub, it wasn't until I went to buy my first legal drink that my sister told me my dad was covering the tab (can't complain) so the only legal alcohol I have bought is from tescos, and it didn't feel right as I've always seen the alcohol section as the 'adults' section so it kinda felt like I was breaking the law - But hey I got fairly tipsy with my mates and played grand theft auto and had fun crashing cars and running from the police (yer in the game not real life!)
- My poor Granddad went into hospital and at about 6.30 in the morning a few days later we got a phone call saying he had had a heart attack so my mum went up to Hall (which is about 4 - 5 hours from us) believing to be saying goodbye, but he made an amazing recovery and is moving out of his flat to a bungalow where a warden will keep an eye on him as of course he is not the same as he was before the attack, but the area looks lovely and like the perfect 'old foggy' area, and he will have to finally get rid of all the crap lying around his flat. Oh and he had his attack two days before my 18th so I wasn't really in that much of a partying mood so alcohol was consumed in great amounts. Gotta do my bit to contribute to teen drinking!

- Lol I sound like such an alcoholic but I only really drink around 5 units once a month if that - but I'm a lightweight and am kinda scared to get pissed again as the last time I slept on my mates roof (twice).

- I'm starting to learn how to drive on the 20th so I'm bricking it as if I'm anything like I am in the car games I'll be dead within the hour. Although the only ever time I drove a car it was at about a mile an hour.

- I finally got Sony Vegas pro 8 so I now have:

- HD rendering
- 3D layering
- And masking - which I wanted mostly.
- Plus other stuff which I'm sure I'll overuse as well - Ha no more crappy movie studio for me!

- MY LUSH IS HAVING A PARTY TOMORROW!
Yes the highlight of my sad little life. I have been waiting nearly a year for a lush party - since I became a 'lushie' last May - My lush was closed for a week (for remodeling - Hence the party at the day it reopens), though so it was hell for me, even though I don't go in everyday it's still nice to look at as I walk by, but I saw the store today nearly finished and it looks amazing, although I don't like the new logo much but it goes with the store and I'm sure it'll grow on me.

So I've spent the evening washing out my five black pots to get a free face mask and filling in and cutting out one of my 10% discount vouchers as there is going to be retro products which I have never had as they are only available online and my cash card can only be used at atms.

Anyway will post more regularly now.

Brendan/Anna - We're going down

I finally finished it!

WARNING: Contains violence, blood, murder, rape and an unstable sense on mind as well as mild peril and a relationship that some may deem inappropriate. However all clips used are from films/dramas that have a 15 certificate so if you are this age or above or feel that you are able to 'cope' with the content involved then feel free to watch. I don't believe this vid to be scary or 'bad' but I thought it would be best to warn people. This is not a constant theme of the vid there are just some parts that some people may not like. These 'issues' are only reoccurring at about 1.45 onwards.

You can also see that the Brendan clips switched from doctor who to secret smile half way through, as that was when I finally caved in and bought the overpriced DVD because I couldn't be without it any longer!

Plot (I don't believe it's that hard to follow but I made this so...):

Anna is in an abusive relationship with Brendan, but she does not want it to end because even though he does not feel the same way, she still loves him. He openly cheats on her and tries to scare her several times by pretending to try and kill her. Anna begins to go insane are tries to kill him herself but he catches her and they fight and he rapes her. She then kills him while he is sleeping having been told by a doctor to 'finish what she started.' Anna then wakes up and realises that the whole murder was a dream and that Brendan is still alive.

Yer its dark I know but I've been wanting to vid Anna's insanity and Brendan's obsessive nature for some time now.

As you can see I have edited it a bit as I had to recreate it as my Vegas didn't support the template, so it is slightly different to the original, and I didn't want it as a standalone intro as I HATE video intros. Plus I used the overlay and the text throughout the vid, so you could say that this intro inspired me to make this vid.

Anyway I hope you like my new vidding style, as I hope to continue vidding like this from now on. Also I hope you like my first attempt at a slightly more adult vid.

Ok - I finally caved in and bought the WAY overpriced 'Secret smile' DVD from HMV yesterday because I couldn't stand not to have it any longer. They charged me £13 for a six year old DVD! - Plus it wasn't till I was peeling of the price sticker that I saw that at one point it was £8.99 - grrrrr.

But I had to have it - especially I've been wanting to use clips from it in my latest vid - Brendon/Anna - We're going down. I have a few previews up atm and I hope to have the finished vid up within the next few days.

I'm completely changing my vidding style in a bid to get more subscribers/make my vids look more professional:

- I've now changed my watermark and decided to keep the same watermark for all if not most of my vids that are forthcoming.
- Plus I'm actually spending ages editing each vid to make them perfect - or as close as can be.
- Finally, my upcoming Brendon/Anna vid, is soo different to my usual vidding style, I'm defiantly keeping to the 15 certificate of both 'films.' (Ok Secret smile is a drama but I'll call it a film for arguments sake.) It involves an abusive relationship, insanity, rape and murder, plus a relationship that I'm sure some will find inappropriate. But I just want to advance in my vidding and make it a bit more adult - I mean I'm 18 in less than a month for goodness sake! Plus I've been wanting to do a vid on Anna's insanity and Brendan's obsessive nature for some time now. So yer post if you like the idea of branching of into different areas (I'll still vid my old style as well), and I hope your looking forward to the next vid.

Ok - Last blog entry this year I'm assuming - Can't believe how quick this year has gone, but I want it to hurry up and end so that I can see David's doctor who finale - even though, having said that, I don't want it to end.

PLUS - Talk about a shit episode for Christmas day, not only did it have nothing 'Christmassy' about it, (even though the doctor was dying so I'll over look that) it was the worse storyline ever. If they kill David's exit I'm going to be soooo pissed of.

Doctor/Anna - A whole world apart

I didn't really know what to call this vid.

Ok this is terrible, I'm not even going to try and lie my way out of it - BUT I still had to share it with you because I like it anyway.

It's my first attempt at a storyline vid (those vids that have sound and are not really music vids - I don't really know how else to describe them.)

It carries on from my last doctor/Anna vid where the doctor left Anna (and Hermione) behind. Anna is dreaming about the doctor's departure when she is woken by the sound of the T.A.R.D.I.S. She goes outside and sees the doctor who asks her to come with him, of course she accepts. Whilst the doctor is waiting for her in the T.A.R.D.I.S. it takes him to a parallel (lost) world. Anna not knowing this believes he has abandoned her again. The doctor starts to haunt her dreams and she realises that she isn't crazy and he is trying to tell her what has happened, that he is trapped and may never return. She has a final dream of them telling each other that they love one another. The doctor then manages to power the T.A.R.D.I.S. and returns to Anna.

Yer I had to give it a happy ending seeing as how he has now left her behind about three times in all my vids. I hope you figured this all out from the vid itself, but as I said it's crap so if you didn't, oh well.
I'm also making a Hermione vid as well were she also gets reunited with the doctor again, and then I'll make another doctor/Hermione/Anna vid. I'm making loads of vids atm as it's the holidays.
